Medvedev to Japan: put cooperation before disputes

Writing in his Twitter account Saturday, President Medvedev says he has told the Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan at a meeting with him in Yokohama that both countries could reap untold benefits it they put disputes between them behind cooperation in all fields.He visited a South Kuril island last month, prompting a kneejerk in which Japan briefly recalled its Ambassador from the Russian Federation.
