The Prague Post - Opinion - Virtual hostage Cyber terrorism and politically motivated computer crime are a big concern for the real world Our dependence on the Internet and technology demands we ask ourselves a question: What would be the impact on our lives if that technology was disrupted? Many people don't realize the true scope of the information revolution that has taken place in the past two decades. When we think about our personal reliance on technology, we usually picture access to our Facebook accounts, e-mail and maybe online banking. We often overlook how dependent basic functions of society and government are on these same technologies. Examples include public transportation, the generation and distribution of electrical power and police communications, to name a few.
