Putin calls for joint CIS effort against new threats: Voice of Russia


Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed the importance of taking preemptive measures against new terror and extremist threats in the post-Soviet zone.
Addressing today’s 33rd meeting of CIS security agencies and special service chiefs, Mr. Putin said the fast-changing globalized world and modern information technologies required CIS member states to join their forces and use high-tech methods to stave off new threats and combat new challenges.
