How Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck rule America

So, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert rally the great American nation to defend freedom, liberties and all sorts of other good things associated with the Democratic Party - if you happen to be its supporter.

Very fitting. The two comedians seem to be the last hope of all the liberals to save the 2010 congressional elections.

"Socialist Godless, weed-smoking, casual abortarium visitors" that they are. Also happen to be like roughly half of the American population

The only man who can stop them? Glenn Lee Beck.

Also a stand-up comedian and political satirist in his own right. Very, very right.

Leader of the "gun-totting, Bible-waving, monster pick-up driving. can't-find-Paris-on-the map" other half of America...

…who also had a crowd assembled smack in the middle of Washington DC - funny enough also defending freedom and liberties - but with a Republican flavor.

Beck was crafty. He scheduled his rally on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech who he reverently praised.

MLK also happened to be seen as a dangerous communist agitator by the fathers of the very people who today go to attend Beck.

Does anybody understand anything?

There's also the largely forgotten, but once broadly popular, President Obama in the White House .

He cares for the outcome of the Stewart - Beck battle.

President Obama told the press that he hadn't watched Beck's Lincoln Memorial event, but generally feels that "it's not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country."

For Stewart, however, the US president serves as a bit of a promoter .

"I was amused. Jon Stewart, you know, the host of The Daily Show, apparently he's going to host a rally..." Obama told his supporters recently.

He also granted one of the last interviews before the elections to ...Jon Stewart. Smart, Mr. President - you dig what your electorate is really watching.

Obama, however, should feel a tad sheepish - AskMen.com just crowned Stewart - Most Influential Man of 2010. Obama himself held that title back in oh-so-long-ago 2008.

Says AskMen.com, "Stewart’s show was once dubbed the “fake news,” but these days it's become our youths' most trusted source of information, and its host the most trusted man in America"

Little surprise at a time when CNN is all about Charlie Sheen caught naked with a "pornographic performer", also naked, at a swanky New York hotel , ...they elegantly call it "trending" these days. ( In other words, stuff that folks really care about. Wouldn't be surprised if this "pornographic performer" will be on Larry King tonight, detailing her ordeal ) Really? Charlie Sheen, drunk with a woman who is not his wife? Give me a break!

Since no politician either on the left or right comes anywhere near the Stewart/Colbert duo or Mr. Beck in popularity the question naturally should be:

Who will become the US president in 2012?

Stewart was actually asked that question: Do you want to run America Inc.?

"If I really wanted to change things, I'd run for office I haven't considered that, and I wouldn't " the great sage replied.

Too bad. Imagine Jon Stewart Leibowitz, the President of The United States, meeting on the White House lawn with Prime Minister of Her Majesty's government the Right Honourable ....Ricky Dene Gervais.

..who just narrowly beat Craig Ferguson, esquire in the elections.

That naturally, would be VERY funny.
